For the first time, we present the full unexpur-wotsited version of ‘The Comedy Fix’ as a podcast!
In this edition, Simon, Jonny and Gary bring you Gordon Bennett, ‘Future News’, Honest Horoscopes, Thought for the Day, Jonny’s rant, previews of the Birmingham Comedy Festival, the essential ‘gig guide’, classic comedy from Steven Wright and a whole host of ‘Face-borings’ from the regular cast of hilariously self-obsessed and wacky characters!
We all know the feeling. You wake up on a Wednesday morning, bleary-eyed, with morning breath bad enough to kill a sparrow, when BAM! – the realisation hits you that you’ve missed the previous night’s ‘Comedy Fix’!
Under normal circumstances, you would have been haunted for days by thoughts of what might have been – the laughs, the giggles, the slight lack of comprehension at what the hell’s going on – but with no hope of actually hearing the show. Until now!
For now we present ‘The Comedy Fix’ podcast!
The podcast is a shortened version of the show, which is a roundabout way of saying it’s the pre-scripted bits that we’ve cobbled together. So you’d STILL be better off listening to the show live, because you’ll have missed banter, information (such as our gig-guide) and – let’s face it – loads of cock-ups.
But beggars can’t be choosers, apparently, so here’s your first highlights package, complete with sketches from Messrs Greatrex, Harper and Dring, and an interview with funnyman Mohammed Jamil.
Click the play button below, or right-click the download link underneath to save the file to your computer. And please do leave a comment when you’ve listened! It’d be rude not to.
I won’t say ‘welcome’ because it always feels a bit cheesy saying that when it’s just a web-page. Saying ‘welcome’ makes it feel like you’re shuffling into someone’s hallway, doesn’t it? Which this clearly isn’t.
Anyway, how was your journey? You see, there I go again. More unnecessary babble, when all you need to know is what the hell this site is all about, so you can get back to Facebook as quickly as possible. But thanks anyway for finding us. Out of all those websites! Bless you.
‘The Comedy Fix’ is a little comedy show we do every couple of weeks featuring original comedy material. It’s produced on a zero budget, but thanks to the Custard Factory and Rhubarb Radio, we have a nice studio to broadcast it from. We’re in Birmingham, England.
The show has been broadcasting live since April, but now we are aiming to increase our listenership by making podcasts of the show available on this web-page and elsewhere on the net. So you can listen to us when we’re not really there (although some might argue that’s also the case with the live broadcasts…)
For more information about the show and its contributors, check out the page-links under the banner image on this blog, and don’t forget to check back regularly for new shows, sketches, interviews and updates.
